There are online options and face to face courses too.
STAGE 1: Online Umpire Stage 1 Courses (National, online only)

· This course is designed to give you an overview of the basic Laws of the game and how to apply them. It introduces the principles of field craft and match
management and will give you the tools to enable you to umpire matches at the basic recreational level, where there are no independent umpires appointed. It is the start of your journey to become an effective umpire for your club or league panel.
STAGE 2: Links for Booking Umpire Stage 2 Courses 2022 (Online OR Face to Face)

· You must have first completed the Online - It's Your Call Umpire Education Stage One course (see above). The Stage 2 course follows on from Stage 1 and is designed to
give you further knowledge and skills to enable you to become an effective recreational umpire and potential league panel umpire. This course complements Stage 1 by looking beyond the basic laws, building on field craft and match management techniques and introducing
the concept of working as a team, with a colleague. It may be taken immediately after Stage 1 or the following season. Candidates receive a Certificate of Attendance on completion, there is NO assessment.
STAGE 3: Face to Face Umpire Stage 3 Course (No links yet.)
· Face to Face Stage 3 – 15th January & 5th Feb 2022 – Wokingham CC – 10am – 4pm – https://booking.ecb.co.uk/d/88qz4n
· You must have first completed the Stage Two course above (not necessarily the associated accreditation program), and have at least two years on-field experience.
You will also have to complete the MCC online Law’s course and present an intermediate level test certificate to ensure you have a good grounding of the MCC Laws of Cricket.
