Whilst doing research for our Centenary in 2022 we discovered that sadly one of our Vice-Presidents had passed away in 2017. Many will remember his umpiring exploits for Actonians over the years and he continued umpiring in his native New Zealand well into his late 80's. He officiated in the 13th Golden Oldies Festival in Queenstown New Zealand aged 87 and when interviewed by the local press remembered his 20 years in the UK fondly and the time umpiring at Actonians.
