THE family of the late Fred Glasscoe, long-standing member of Leverstock Green CC, have asked us to share details relating to Fred's funeral.

 The local Vicar writes as follows:

Fred Glasscoe's funeral service will take place on Wednesday March 17 at 2pm at Holy Trinity.

As Covid regulations restrict numbers in church, we would like to make it possible for members of the wider community to make their farewells in some other way.

Fred will be brought into church to rest overnight on Tuesday March 16, and the family will be present between 4.45pm and 6pm if you would like to come during that time to pay your respects.

Or you may wish to witness Fred's departure on the Wednesday. The service will end at about 2.40pm and his coffin will be carried to the hearse, which will depart for the crematorium just after 3pm.

You are welcome to stand in the churchyard or line the Bedmond Road, but please do not 'gather' - keep within 'your household and one other person' and observe social distancing.

Fred's family is asking for no Flowers at the church but, instead, for those that wish, to make a donation to Keech Hospice - a charity dedicated to caring for those with terminally-ill cancer, paticularly children.
