THU JAN 13 & THU Jan 27 - T@ THE GREEN: Join Us For A Cuppa & A Chat - Free Community Event, All Welcome
Our community get-together goes from strength to strength with around 30-40 regularly in attendance now, between 10am and 12noon on every second and fourth Thursday morning of each month.

Completely free to attend and personally hosted, everyone in the local community is welcome to pop by or stay for the whole two hours; whichever is most appealing.

Have a chat with other folk from around the village and surrounding areas, or simply sit back, relax and take in the calming view across The Green from our bright and airy clubhouse facility - while enjoying a cup of tea or coffee and some light refreshments.

THU JAN 13 & WEEKLY - YOGA SESSION: every Thursday 6.30pm to 8.00pm
Come along and enjoy a relaxed yoga session under the watchful eye of a qualified tutor, every Thursday evening inside the LGCC clubhouse.

Co-ordinator Glennis Taylor will be only too happy to welcome you along to a friendly group of like-minded folk.

Mats are available to use should you not possess your own, and the group often stay behind for a quick drink after the clubhouse opens to others at 8.00pm

MON JAN 17 - ANNUAL GENERAL MEETING: 8.00pm start
Leverstock Green CC's AGM will take place in hybrid format this year, with in-person attendees welcome at the clubhouse. In addition, the option is available to join via Zoom for those who would prefer. An email has been dispatched this week containing a link to click to join the Zoom meeting. This link will be open from 7.15pm on the evening.

However you do so, we look forward to your attendance and involvement for the club's Annual General Meeting.

TUE FEB 1 - CHRIS LAWRANCE'S BANJO BASH: First Tuesday of every month, 8.30pm start
Enjoy the delights of music played in the traditional way by Chris Lawrance and his collection of musical maestros from around the local area.

Some of the finest fiddlers and string pluckers in the region descend on The Green for an old-time bluegrass and traditional music session once a month - and it's always worth a listen.

The gang usually get going from 8.30pm. Come along and have a drink while you sit back and enjoy the sounds.

FRI FEB 4 - FIRST FRIDAYS - LIVE MUSIC AT LGCC: Scam 69 (70s & 80s new wave cover band), bar 7.30pm, band 8.30pm
In a new introduction to the social calendar at The Green, each first Friday of the calendar month will see different entertainment provided for members and their guests to enjoy.

We're kicking off with live music from a very popular local covers band, while other 'First Fridays' could include Bingo, comedy, themed evenings as well as some more live music.

These events will be provided free-of-charge and are designed to put a fixed date back in your diaries for getting together here at LGCC.

SUN FEB 6 - QUIZ NIGHT: First Sunday of every month, 7.30pm start
After an enjoyable re-introduction of the monthly Quiz Nights in early December and a break for the festive season in January, it's time for sharpened minds and pencils once again on Sunday February 6, when the regular monthly Quiz Night makes its first appearance of 2022.

Hosting duties are being shared on a one-on, one-off basis this year between regular quiz entrants and resident quizmaster Richard Walker.

DARTS - MONDAY & WEDNESDAY TEAMS: 8.00pm starts
LGCC's two darts teams are always in the throes of action each Monday and Wednesday (check website 'Events' section to see if they're at home or away).

It's Old Bill's Charity Darts League on Monday nights, with Wednesday's competition in the Hemel Social Darts League. Everyone is welcome to come along and support.

CRICKET SEASON 2022 - INDOOR PRACTISE SESSIONS: Juniors every Friday, Seniors every Sunday
Away from the clubhouse, preparations for the summer's cricket ahead are beginning with indoor practise sessions for LGCC cricketers of all ages.

Juniors will train on Friday evenings (6.15pm-9.15pm, two sessions split by age groups) at Longdean School, while seniors will train on Sunday evenings (6.30-8.00pm) at Berkhamsted School's Knox-Johnston Sports Centre.

If you'd like more information on either of these for yourself or someone you know, simply hit reply to this email and provide a phone number so we can call you for a chat.
