Dear All,

Both the ECB and HS2 have told us that they need us to make some minor changes to our constitution before they can give us any more money. Whilst it is slightly irritating that we didn't know about this a month ago so that we could make the changes at the AGM, it is definitely something that we need to do as soon as possible.

The committee has therefore called an Extraordinary General Meeting of the club, to be held at the Squirrel on 2nd December at 7pm. As this date was already in your diaries as the monthly club night we hope that as many of you as possible will attend.

The amended constitution that we are asking approval for is attached. The changes are not great ones. They confirm that we are a not-for-profit organisation which operates for the benefit of the public (HS2 asked for this) and then incorporate changes to the ECB's safeguarding requirements.
