Dear Members and Friends of the Club,
Preparations are underway for another full season of Cryptics cricket. Matches will be published online and available on our traditional printed Fixtures Card in the coming weeks.
Kicking the 2019 season off will be the Annual General Meeting and the Annual Dinner on Saturday 23rd March at the Officers’ Mess of the Oxford University Officer Training Corps, Falklands House, Oxpens Road, Oxford OX1 1RX (a 5-10 minute walk from Oxford train station).
The AGM, for members, commences at 6.30pm (see attached Agenda) and the main event – the Annual Dinner – will be served from 7.45pm.
This year, we are going to be entertained by Paul Bedford. As well as being the ECB Leagues & Competitions Manager, he is a patron of the MCC Foundation, and a past Chairman of the Surrey Championship. He is known for his repartee and as a destructive batsman in his day at Cranleigh CC, Wimbledon CC and for the MCC. So come and be humoured by Paul, get gossip on the forthcoming Ashes series, or collar him on club overseas player policies!
Wives/partners or other guests are very welcome. The dress code is a black tie (with lounge suit as an alternative).
The cost of the four-course Dinner is £48 (or £24.00 for full-time students), with wine and port included. The bar will be open from 6.00pm serving pre-dinner drinks.
