Kimble Cricket Club News story

Important update for all players and members of Kimble CC

04 Jul 2020

Dear member,

Following the Government's announcement yesterday about the return of recreational cricket, it is now looking very likely that we will be able to play cricket at Kimble before the end of July. This is great news but before we can play we need to know how many players would like to play cricket this season and we need all members to help us to get the ground and clubhouse ready.

We need as many people as possible to come down to the ground on Saturday 11 July at 11.00 am and we need all players to complete a short survey about their playing intentions. The survey can be accessed by clicking the link below or by copying and pasting it in your browser.

If you do want to play this season it's very important that you help us to get the ground ready, so please try to make it on Saturday.

When we last wrote to you we explained that we were exploring an arrangement with Dinton cricket club that would allow us to play in the Cherwell league this season. Such an arrangement is no longer necessary and the committee have decided not to explore a merger with Dinton or any other club. We will play this season as Kimble and intend to play next season as Kimble too, but at this stage we cannot say whether this will be in the Cherwell league or another local league. The survey asks you to give your view on which league you would like to play in.

It has been a tough time for all cricket clubs and now, more than ever, we need all our players and members to pull together to ensure the future of Kimble CC.
