Match report Holding on for a draw is the ugly part of league cricket but this was one of those days. With quite a few tired bodies and 4 changes the Green lost the toss and bowled first. Restricting OAs to 215 was commendable as at one stage a score of 250+ was on the cards. Simo bowled very well without much luck and Tyso 6-47 kept the Green in the game. Murph with 2 stumpings and 3 cathces kept very well. The OAs bowling attack is probably one of the best we have played against this season. A nice mixture of swing and spin plus seamers who bowled just off a length made life very difficult for the batters. Only Koch 21 & Simo 33 made runs of any significance, as too many batters got themselves out to ariel shots when patience was required. A Ali with 8-38 from 20 overs was the pick of the bowlers. A useful 10 points keeps us 3rd with only a few points separating 8 clubs. It`s going to be an interesting end with 6 games to play and the next 2 (Met P & Redbourn) are must wins.
