Scorecard

Edinburgh South Cricket Club Mitres v Glasgow Academicals 4ths on Sun 06 Sep 2015 at 12 Noon
Edinburgh South Cricket Club Lost by 31 runs

Match report Glasgow Academicals batted first on a sunny Sunday afternoon but it is not known if this was by choice, invitation or arrangement. Both sides deployed an array of slow bowlers in an enjoyable match.
Undoubtedly the difference between the sides was the presence of the Oliver family in the visiting ranks. Martin, their left handed skipper scored 76 and wicket 'keeper John was undefeated on 64. Having opened the batting both retired and returned after their colleagues had been dismissed when they added 80 for the last wicket in 11.1 overs. Indeed, only 30 runs were scored when neither Oliver was at the wicket.
As the scorecards show several of the Mitres utilised the opportunities given to them Andy Barrie kept for the first 20 overs at which point captain Jim Mclaren took over the gloves.
