With no covers overnight & rain accompanying the Herons' entrance to Shenfield, it looked a tricky task. Wanstead got off to a reasonable start at 106 for 3 off 21 overs - then collapsed to 158 for 8 in the 35th over. Cue sublime hitting from T20 specialist Jayden Rising. Jayden sent the ball to all parts of Shenfield town for a quick fire 45 including four maximums - shouts of "Dat Guy" were ringing around the stadium!!!! Wanstead got out of jail at 221 all out.

With momentum behind them, a fired up bowling attack had to work hard on a lifeless deck, using the swinging conditions sublimely. All contributed but the breakthrough spell came from a 5.5 over blitz from Moeen Ali (Haroon Awan) who bowled with fantastic control, forcing the batsmen to play at every ball...with figures of 5.5-3-11-4. He took key wickets and cleaned up a stubborn tail, with their 10 & 11 adding 54, batting out 8 overs and even making Stephen Ramdial go quiet.

Man of the Match - I'd love to give it to two players but for the impact of his short spell - Haroon Awan
