Match report After South had been put into bat there was a glorious hour of summer containing warm sunshine - your reporter even removed his body warmer -, assured batting by Manu and Paul and visions of a total approaching 250. However, it turned into a Saturday all too typical of the 2015 season with the return of cloud and rain and the outcome of the match. There were two breaks for rain, 17 minutes in our innings and 19 when the Accies batted, and the loss of wickets in clusters by South. Several batsmen looked in decent nick, got in but could not go on to the hoped for big score. However the factor which did most to limit our total was the loss of the 3rd and 4th wickets in successive overs which was repeated in respect of 6th and 7th and 8th and 9th wickets.
